Tepexpan is known for the 'Tepexpan Man' a human skeleton of a woman buried face down with her knees bent under her. Discovered in 1949 by geologist Helmut de Terra while looking for Pleistocene fossils. Although the position of the woman and the lack of burial offerings are associated with the Archaic period, fluorine test place her with fossils of the Upper Becerra.
